Fall of roof on road. While setting a prop under a ‘collar,’ in consequence of one of the arms being broken two pairs of timbers forming a V at the junction of a stall road suddenly collapsed, and the roof fell upon the repairer and his assistant. Thomas died on the 7th Sept. and the assistant recovered from his injuries Victoria seam. Safety lamps.
