Deceased had unharnessed his horse when it started off towards the shaft. He shouted to it, but it did not stop. He then went out with another man part of the way, he having lost his light, when for some reason he rushed forward in the dark and was found soon after on his hands and knees, having been kicked on the pelvis by the horse. The horse appeared to be quiet. He may have struck the horse and caused him to kick.
