Fall of side (coal) at longwall face in 8 feet seam. Deceased was working with a disc coal cutting machine worked by compressed air cleaning the holing cut inserting wedges and setting sprags. The seam was 5 feet9 inches thick. The fall came from the upper part of the seam from between two cross slips which had not been detected. The coal fell on to the machine and rolled off on to deceased. No fault could be found with the timbering or spragging or with the examinations which had been made of the roof and side
