- Details of Event
- A train of full tubs drawn by a main and tail haulage rope was coming into the pit bottom when it fouled on empty tub which was off the rails. This jerked a train of empty tubs forward and one of the tubs left the rails at a curve where Taylor was standing. He was crushed between the tub and the side and so seriously injured that he died on 19th November.
