- Details of Event
- Run over by trucks being lowered by gravity from the pit where the line is on a curve and passes under a bridge carrying the North Stafford Railway. Deceased and others were working at the place and could not see the trucks approaching but there was a semaphore signal near them which was raised before the trucks were started. They failed to notice this and the trucks caught two of them. The place is a very dangerous one and a better method of signalling danger when trucks are coming has been adopted.
