Deceased was putting a pack on the deepside of a level in the Eight Feet Banbury Seam the necessary dirt having been ripped from the roof. He was killed by a fall of bass about 3 feet square and 1 foot thick which fell from one side of the ripping and from two parallel slips. The place had been examined a short time previously when there was no indication of imminent danger.
