He was at work with his mate in a place which was stripping a fault and was at the time of the accident drawing his back timber from the waste in the usual way with a sylvester. He had drawn one prop and was about to draw another when the roof collapsed and buried him. The fall was very heavy and knocked about 12 props out. The fault and waste evidently gave the roof two loose ends.
