Deceased was engaged in removing from the holing, slack produced by the working of a percussive coal-cutting machine, in a thin band of coal immediately underlying the Red Mine Ironstone, when a to "goth" occurred, and immediately three cocker sprags were reeled out and a piece of ironstone 13.5ft long 5.5 ft high and an average of 1ft 9in thick fell on him killing him instantly.
