- Overburden of sand and soil 5 feet 4 inches deep was undermined 18 inches a length of 6 feet whilst shovelling sand from the base, suddenly the face fell on to deceased (in s stooping position) and his brother, fortunately the latter was erect and able to extricate himself, calling for help to the men in the limestone quarry below, deceased was got out. It was said the men had been ordered not to undermine.
