Details of Event
Died April 25. Deceased who wore clogs, was working on a ledge about 4 feet wide about 15 feet from the top of the quarry and about 10 feet from the bottom. He called to two men working below that he was about to roll a stone over, and one of them saw him do so and then saw another stone about 2 feet square and 1 foot thick roll forward behind him and catch him about the ankles, and he fell head first to the bottom of the quarry alighting on a heap of rough stones. He was unconscious and never regained consciousness his skull being fractured.
