- Details of Event
- He was at the outbye end of his landing and rapped away a set of 20 full tubs by means of the rapper close to the landing points. After the set had travelled 80 yards the brakesman at bank thought something was wrong with the set so he stopped it and telephoned in. The waggonwayman proceeded inbye and found Stobbs under the second tub at a curve, and he had evidently been dragged to this point. He was conscious but he gave no account as to how he came into that position. Everything was in order but how he came to be caught by the set it is difficult to say.
