21 March 1931: Cowdenbeath Colliery Accident - While employed in the Mynheer section of No.7 pit, Cowdenbeath Colliery, last Saturday. Hugh Stewart, mine foreman inspector was struck by a fall of stone. He sustained, besides other injuries, a fractured rib, and was taken home in the ambulance waggon.
