Inspection made and inquest. The blow off pipe in front end of the steam boiler burst and the escape of steam caused the fire of boiler to reverse and deceased was scalded and burnt severely that be expired on the 14 inst. The water put on to cool ashes after passing through appears to have a had effect on the blow-off pipe and lessened the thickness 3-16 of an inch where it gave way through corrosion. The periodical examination of the blow-off pipe could not have been satisfactory.
