He was turning a new stall off a heading which was double timbered and in the solid. He had only commenced it that morning, and having filled two trams of rubbish, was at his second tram of coal, when a fall of roof occurred which knocked out two pairs of timbers and partly covered deceased. The roof was bad and full of slips. He had put no posts up to steady the timbers, and he probably disturbed some of them.
