- Deceased were sent to pull down a low bridge of cliff on an engine plane in Seven feet seam. The bridge of ground, 11 feet long, 7 feet wide, and 17 inches thick ,' is said to have shown no signs of weakness, but, owing to gradual squeeze, the height under it (5 feet 3 inches) was than the average height of the plane. On the upper side of the bridge the ground had been ripped up to bed of rock. There was no surviving witness of the accident, but an inspection of the place made it plain that as the loosened the bed of cliff, they liberated a mass of the rock bed above from a concealed slant running along one side of the road. The place was untimbered. The fall of rock was 16 feet by 7 feel by 18 to 30 inches thick, in addition to the bridge which they intended to rip. 3 killed.
