The deceased men were resetting timber in the return airway for an underground oil engine exhaust They were temporarily enabled to work here as owing to a reversal of the ventilation due to abnormal weather (natural ventilation), the oil engine exhaust was carried another road. Owing to momentary stagnation or reversal of the feeble ventilation, the exhaust fumes hacked on to the two men, who were subsequently found dead. 2 killed.
