He became entangled with the cog-wheels of the driving gear and killed. The driving gear was fenced, sand he must have either climbed over the fence or crept underneath the cage (a space of less than 2 feet) to get where he was found. The greasing was done by the foreman when the machinery was not working, and deceased had been warned not to go among the gearing.
