- Details of Event
- Deceased had charge of a temporary furnace and was required to carry the coal for it from a point in an old road some distance away. To save himself trouble he appears to have been getting coal off the road side near the furnace and while so engaged a large stone fell on him from the side. It occurred between Saturday evening and Sunday morning when he was found to have been dead some hours. He was alone in the mine and had not been seen by anyone for 9 or 10 hours which does not seem satisfactory.
