- Details of Event
- Deceased was sent away from a landing in advance of the full train, in order to be ready to attach the tail chain further outbye. The haulage engineman noticed on his ammeter that much more current than usual was being taken, so stopped the train of tubs it had gone some 200 yards. On search being made the lad was found beneath the twelfth and thirteenth tub, and apparently he had been carried or rolled for a distance of 50 yards. From the position in which his cap and lamp were found he had either been walking between the rails, where there was 3 feet of room at the side, or had been riding on the rope end.
