Inspection made and inquest attended. He was walking up the main haulage brow in front of a journey of full tubs. The journey had not proceeded far when the coupling link of the first tub gave way causing the tub attached to the rope to rush quicker upbrow crushing the deceased before he could get in the manhole. He succumbed to the injuries received on the 15th instant.
