- 28 September 1923: Miner Killed At Cambuslang - When engaged on the night shift in Gateside Colliery No.2, Cambuslang , a shot firer named Peter Smith, 32 Church Street, Cambuslang, was killed instantaneously by a fall of stone from the roof in the main coal section.
