Deceased was coming out-bye at the end of the fore shift and may have been riding on a set of loaded tubs being drawn out-bye at a good speed by a pony and when opposite a travelling way along which he would proceed out-bye he had got off and was caught by another set consisting of seven loaded tubs which were following 20 yards behind and also travelling fast. He was run over and found under the third tub. The road was of ample width and height and was provided with refuge holes every 10 yards having been an old engine plane. The Local Inspectors after describing the place concluded ‘There being no blame attached to anyone.’
