Along with another man were engaged drawing props in a roadway after drawing out nine with gablock and chain the tenth prop had so much weight settled on it the gablock could not draw it; deceased was using his pick to strike out the prop as the prop gave way down came a large quantity of roof which killed him. It had been wiser had he persevered with the gablock, or just eased the prop a little, then pulled the gablock. (Roof good).
