Owing to repairs in the shaft deceased was unable to descend and went to go to work a pump, of which he had charge, by an in-goingeye from the surface. He did not get to the pump, and was missed for a day and search was made, when he was found at the entrance to the in-going-eye quite dead. His death was due to natural causes.
