- Details of Event
- Was seen to stoop to pick up his spade; apparently the stooping affected him, for he stood up and, reeling round with his arms held up. He fell over the ledge 2 feet below his bead struck the top of a waggon, thence he fell 5 feet to the ground. Doctor on post-mortem found congestion of brain, but whether this arose naturally or from the fall could not be proved. There was no injury to the brain. Ledge 5 feet wide.
