- Details of Event
- Deceased was lowering two wagons to the picking belt. The brakes were on the coal stallage side where the clearance was very little. Deceased put a scotch on the rail, and got in to unpin the brakes, but as soon as he had done so, the wagons started and he was fatally crushed between the stallage and the wagons. Usually two men did this work and deceased ought not to have attempted to do it alone in this case.
