5 September 1919: Wemyss Miner Killed - George Sinclair labourer, residing at 146 Den Road Kirkcaldy, was accidentally killed at Wemyss Colliery yesterday. While shunting was being carried on at the pithead, Sinclair was knocked down by one of the waggons, which passed over him, partially severing his head from his body.
