Deceased was pulling coal from a bord face. by means of a bar, when a "bump" occurred causing some coal to hoist off, which knocked him down and pushed him against the pack. He walked home, but intestinal trouble made itself evident a week later, and although operated upon he died a fortnight after the accident. He probably twisted himself in endeavouring to get clear of the falling coal. The coal was holed though the sprags had been removed.
