An electrically driven pump was to he removed, but the current was cut off from the motor circuit at the main switch board, but the current was left on a lighting circuit. There was a fault on the lighting circuit which caused the frame of the starter to be alive, and as soon as the contact between the switch board frame was slightly broken, the electrician and his assistant, the deceased received a shock. The electrician was rendered unconscious, but recovered. The shock was fatal to Silkstone.
