- Details of Event
- Deceased was wedging down a layer of stone 6 inches thick overlying the coal when a fall of roof occurred and caught him. A temporary prop set in front of the tub had been taken out to allow another length of rails to be laid. If the next filler's prop had been set in advance according to rule, it would possibly have prevented the accident. Deceased was seriously injured about the head and died soon afterwards.
