The deceased was putting a drag on the last full tub of a set of two, which a driver was taking out about 400 yards from the coal face, when a fall of stone suddenly took place from the roof and caught him and he was so seriously injured that he died the same afternoon. A seam 250 yards below was being worked and a long wall face was approaching the place of the accident. This, no doubt, was the cause of the fatality.
