- Details of Event
- Died on the 6th. Deceased was walking beside a journey of empty tubs which were being drawn into a shunt by main and tail ropes A journey of loads was standing on the other run, and the space between was 1ft. 4ins. At a low place deceased fell and was crushed by the moving tubs and injured so severely that he died on October 6th. It is probable that he walked head foremost against the low place which was a sharp set-off and was knocked down. There was no need for him to go between the tubs before they had come to rest.
