A small locomotive on which he and one of the clay workers were riding from the pits to the stores left the line and turned over. It resulted apparently from their going at too great a speed for the condition of the line. The rails are light and the sleepers are not satisfactory for running locomotives upon at a greater speed than four or five miles an hour.
