Fall of roof at face cliff 6.5ft. 3.5ft. by 17ins thick fell from between three slips one of which had run up through the coal into the roof as he worked some coal from under one end of it. I think if he had tried the roof he would had found it ‘given’ the lad who worked with him had not seen him, try it that day. Died 18th Oct. Yard Seam.
