While engaged in filling a tub with coal at the buttock end, a fall off roof, coal and shale, occurred which forced his head on to the edge of the tub instantly killing him. A foreset prop, capped with a lid 2 feet long, was pushed out. The stallman had just previously taken down some coal which had probably struck and disturbed the foreset.
