A dataller was making ready a working in which the roof had become rather low and broken, and was chipping the roof stone when deceased went in beside him. The dataller asked him for some nails, and deceased was stooping down in the act of getting some nails out of his pocket when a fall of roof took place and caught him. The fall was 7 feet long by 4.5 feet by 18 inches thick, and was due to crush, as no particular slips were visible. Two props were canted out by the fall.
