- Details of Event
- A large piece of slate rock, weighing 2.5 tons, fall from 12 feet above where deceased was at work, pulling off loose after a shot. The rock overhung 2 and 3 feet. There was a clay joint on one side, and on one side a clear joint. The bottom of the stone was free, undermined by blasting. Altogether it was in a dangerous state, yet the foreman allowed work to go on.
