A mass of strong, hard clay, estimated to weigh about 10 tons, had been safely got down off the quarry face, and deceased and another were breaking it up, when a portion of the fallen mass, weighing about a ton, rolled over upon deceased while he was in a stooping position, causing injuries which resulted fatally on same day.
