Deceased was holing the coal in the longwall face of the stone Coal Seam, when a stone fell upon him from a slip in the roof. The roof was propped to within 2 feet 10 inches of the face, and the stone fell between the last row of props and the face. He died three days later from the effects of the injuries received.
