Deceased was found underneath a gang of full tubs in a storage siding near the pit bottom. The speed of the tubs was 1.5 to 2 miles per hour, and the duty of deceased was to signal for the gang to be stopped when it reached a certain point. As no signal was given, the engine tenter stopped the engine as he knew the gang had reached the stopping place. Deceased was found underneath the first and second tubs, and his lamp and knocking iron under the sixth tub. There was plenty of room for him to walk. It is probable he fell in front of the tubs. He may have got in the dark or may have been riding.
