Deceased was watching some coal falling and was holding in his hand a ringer, 4 feet 6 inches long, with the point on the floor and the other end near his chest. The coal and top dirt fell to forward and struck the ringer, causing it to hit him across the abdomen. A bowel was ruptured and he died of peritonitis on the 5th July.
