Inspection made and inquest attended. While working alone in a broken working a heavy fall of metal took place between a slip and the coal face. The working was fairly well timbered but the roof was very much broken some props were canted out by the fall. There was plenty of suitable timber five yards away but it had not been considered necessary to set more.
