5 September 1921: Accident At Kelty - While at work in the Aitken Pit on Monday, David Rodger, residing with his parents at Nasmyth Place, Kelty, was severely injured by a shot going off before he had reached a place of safety. The unfortunate lad was slightly injured about 5 months ago, when the father had his leg broken and otherwise injured, while a younger brother lost his life. Rodger was removed to Dunfermline Hospital, where he is making satisfactory progress.
