Deceased was drawing back timber on a longwall face, in a seam 3 feet 6 inches thick, when a large stone fell on to him. He had drawn a softwood chock, and was in the act of attaching the chain of a Sylvester drawing appliance to a prop further from the face, at the time. The prop should have been drawn before the chock.
