Deceased was sitting within a yard of the coal face casting stone (just shot down in the canch) into the goaf when a fall of stone from the roof killed him. Three props were rolled out. The stone weighed about 1 ton. There was a slip on the goaf side of the stone. In all probability the shot loosened the stone.
