He had been drawing a jud and was possibly rather tired, and when on his way out to the fiat he slipped on a tram rail and fell on his head. He suffered from slight concussion and continued to improve for about five months, but afterwards began to get rapidly worse and was unconscious for two weeks before his death, which occurred on 22nd March.
