Details of Event
At face, coal, 6.5ft. by 19ins. by 18in thick fell as he was stowing rubbish in the gob. The collier in charge of the stall was told at 9 a.m. by the fireman to take the coal down as the bottom coal had been worked from under it. He did not do so with the result that the boy was so severely injured on his head that he died in two days. Nine feet seam.
