Deceased started an underground pump with both the column and bye-pass valves closed, and was opening the bye-pass when the pump took hold of the water, and this having no outlet burst the outlet valve next to the main column, and the water at a high pressure hit him and knocked him against the stand of the controller, causing a large wound at the base of the skull.
