- 23 January 1939: Electrician's Fatal Injuries - A Dysart electrician who received an electric shock, which caused him to fall ten feet to a concrete floor, succumbed to his injuries in Kirkcaldy Hospital yesterday morning. Deceased was David Robertson (35) of Fraser Place Dysart. Employed at the Francis Colliery, Dysart, he was working at a transformer in a sub-station near the pithead on Sunday at the time of the mishap. He was removed to hospital in an unconscious condition suffering from a fractured skull. He had a short period of consciousness after admission, then a relapse. [Scotsman 24 January 1939]
