Deceased was watering the ways on a gangway with a mop, when he slipped and fell through the fence to the ground, a distance of 26 feet. The fence consisted of three 7-inch by 1-inch deals, the middle one was broken, and was found to have a dry knot running diagonally through it. He was fatally injured.
